Program Offerings:
There are three
levels of apprenticeship: Apprentice Herbalist, Herbalist, Master
Herbalist. Each level includes:
-50 hours of expert class instruction, including review and final
exam
-Hands-on, experiential learning in each class (taste, smell, plant
identification, medicine making, etc.)
-10+ hours of traditional apprentice work-learn (harvesting,
apothecary work, fairs, etc.)
-Herb Walks in local natural areas with wild plants, outdoor classes
whenever possible.
-150 hours of assignments, readings and projects
-Certificate for each level of successful completion
-Title of Herbalist awarded to Level II graduates, Master Herbalist
for Level III graduates
-Level III students may choose from several tracks:
- Practitioner track with a supervised practicum (must pass clinical
skills evaluation for certificate/title)
- Business/Career Development in Herbalism
- Graduate studies in Herbalism
- Or any combination of the above, to be determined with advisor to
meet the student’s needs/goals.
Students may choose just one, two or all three levels, but must
complete all requirements before going on to the next level. There
are no prerequisites for Level I.

Course Tuition:
Payment plans available as low as $248.88 per month for 8 months.
$100 off for full payment at once, plus no
monthly fee.

interested in this apprenticeship?
3. What, specifically, would you like to learn?
4. How do you
plan to use the information gained in such an endeavor?
(ie What are your goals, if any?)
A $35 deposit is required at the time of application. This will hold
your place for the next semester. If accepted, we will meet to sign
a contract, make payment arrangements and determine your goals,
needs, and particular areas of interests so I can best serve you as
an instructor.
